I’ve found printer preference changes made from the Printing Preferences menu don’t seem to export, so rather adjust printer preferences from Printer Properties > Advanced (tab) > Printing Defaults (which gives all the same options as Printing Preferences). Open the Printer Properties and adjust any settings as needed.
